A research project on authoring human-robot interaction through augmented reality. The team is building a tool that lets designers prototype how a robot behaves and responds to people, then test those interactions with real users before anything is automated. I work across the prototyping and the user research.

Designing for space, not screens: AR interaction adds physical presence, distance, and timing as design variables that flat UI doesn't have
Research as a design tool:
Watching real people misread an interaction is the fastest way to know what to change
Prototyping the intangible:
A lot of the work is making a robot's intent legible to a person, before any of it is automated
The best interaction design makes technology feel understandable without anyone explaining it. Getting a person and a robot to read each other, with no manual, is the clearest version of that problem I've worked on.
